Who are the three children on the ends, on the left, and the girl at the end of the bottom row on the right? I know all the others, Its been bugging me for years. I am next to the teacher, who I believe was Miss Taylor. See story Those Old School Days

Seeing some of the Timbercroft pictures brought to mind some of the kids that attended while I was there . Do any of these names sound familiar to anyone?

Dennis Wray Tuam Road Football. Outside right ,with me as inside right. We went to the Roan School Later
Graham Lee Edison Grove. Also football team
Derek Garnham Chelsworth drive. Tennis
Gerald "Boy" Collins Garland Rd. Football
Peter Costa Garland Rd. Football player. Later went to Red Lion Lane
Michael Smith Swingate Lane. Heck of a good tennis player
Theresa Hurd Off Garland. Sooo pretty
Joan Rierdon Timbercroft Lane. I think she was the one that made me realise that girls were so much better to look at than boys.
Beryl Peddington (Nash) Lancaster St. Peg and I had the chance to meet her and her husband, after they moved to canada

Then there were the teachers

Mr. Hersey, Sports teacher : Football at the pitch behind Edison Grove and cricket on the Common

Mr Seabrook. During music lessons would occasionally sit at the piano and play some favorites "by ear"

Mrs Prudhoe. A wonderful lady and teacher who, when she caught Derek Garnham and I passing notes containing the latest swearwords we had learned, took the notes, asked us to stay after class at which time she explained seriuosly, that we really should not use words like that. Then she smiled, gave us a hug and sent us home. That was the last we heard of the incident.

My recollections of my early days are rather vague but I hope the attached School photograph of my class at Timbercroft Primary School taken in 1946 or 1947 may be stir some memories, I am in the front row 4th from the left. The only other names I can remember are the Baulchin twins (front row 1st and 2nd on the left) and Joey Bee (2nd from left 3rd row back)
