Stephen John Head - Killed by WWI Zeppelin

Family legend has it that Stephen John HEAD died about 1918 as a result of injuries from a WWI German Zeppelin raid over Plumstead. He was a Civil Defense Warden and got everyone in a shelter except himself. He survived the air raid, but died sometime later from his injuries.
